FANTASTICKS AUDITIONS AT CASSIDY THEATRE

Auditions for THE FANTASTICKS will be held at the Cassidy Theatre.  ALL ROLES ARE OPEN.

PRODUCTION DATES:  February 29 – March 16, 2008

AUDITION DATES:  Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 7 p.m.
                 Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 8:30 p.m.
Callbacks: Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 9 p.m.

Please email the Director at trinidad.snider at marriott.com for an audition time.  Auditions will be spaced in 10 – 15 minute intervals.  Please prepare a musical number in the style of the show but NOT from the show.

NEEDED are:  6 males
             1 female
             Mute can be female or male

THE NARRATOR (El Gallo) Late 20’s to Early 30’s/ Baritone: A flat – High G
THE GIRL:  (Luisa) 18 to 22 years of age/ Soprano: B-High B/ Previous dance training preferred
THE BOY:  (Matt) 20 to 25 years of age/ Baritone/ Tenor: A-High G
THE BOY’S FATHER (Hucklebee) 40 to 50 years of age/ Baritone: A –High F sharp
THE GIRL’S FATHER (Bellomy) 40 to 50 years of age/ Baritone: A – High F sharp
THE ACTOR (Henry) Late 40’s to Late 50’s/ Non-singing
THE MAN WHO DIES (Mortimer) 20’s to 30’s/ Non-singing
THE MUTE 18 – 25/Male or female/ Non-singing/ Previous dancing skills required

ABOUT THE SHOW: The Fantasticks (Book and Lyrics by Tom Jones, Music by Harvey Schmidt) is the charming, classic musical about young love and the games parents play.  The show features the song, “Try to Remember”.
