The Illusion Factory 
Summer Theater Camp 2008

The Illusion Factory, Akron’s professional theater for young audiences, announces its Summer Theater Camp to be held Monday – Friday, June 16-27, 2008. Located at the Northwest Family Recreation Center, 1730 Shatto Ave. Akron, OH 44313 (North of W Market St CVS). Children ages 5-15 may enroll, and the play, Charlotte’s Web, will be performed on the final day. Enrollment is limited. Times and fees are:
Ages 5-79-11AM$160
The young actors develop imagination through creative exercises, games, and rehearsals of the play.
Ages 8-129AM-3PM$350
Students improve acting and theatrical skills through theater games, improvisation, movement and vocal work, as well as rehearsals and tech work for the play.
Ages12-159AM-3PM$350
Teens work on detailed direction and character development for the play, as well as work on set, props, costumes, and sound. 

All fees include enrollment, T-shirt, script, supplies, and costume fabric.A $25 discount will be honored for each additional child from the same family. Some partial scholarships are available through Akron Community Foundation’s Millennium Fund for Children. Classes follow Ohio Academic Content Standards for Drama/TheatreAges 8 and older will pack a lunch each day.
