The Bang and The Clatter Theatre Company Announces Auditions

The Bang and The Clatter Theatre Company will be holding auditions for the rest of their 2008 season on Tuesday, May 27th from 8pm-11pm.  Auditions will be held at the Cleveland location: The Bang and The Clatter – Sometimes In The Silence…Theatre Company, at 224 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114.  No Appointment Necessary.

The shows being cast are:  Betty’s Summer Vacation, by Christopher Durang; The God of Hell, by Sam Shepard; Defender of the Faith, by Stuart Carolan; and How His Bride Came to Abraham, by Karen Sunde; Lieutenant of Inishmore, by Martin McDonagh; International House of Hamburgers, by Cliff Hershman; In a Dark Dark House, by Neil LaBute; Blasted, by Sarah Kane

Breakdown:

Men: 18 - 55
1 Boy: 10 - 12 
1 Girl: 16 - 18

 1 contemporary monologue is prefered/ be prepared to read scenes from the scripts. Bring 5 headshots and resumes.

Sarah Kane's first play, lambasted by critics when it was first performed in 1995 as a ‘disgusting feast of filth’ –The Daily Mail, is now considered by many, a classic of 20th century theatre. This is a rare chance to see this powerful anti-war play set in a hotel room in Leeds, while war rages outside in the streets.
