Auditions for Coach House Theatre's first show of the season, Robert
Harling's Steel Magnolias will be Monday, July 21, at 7pm, at the theatre:
732 W. Exchange St. in Akron.

 

The show is directed by artistic director Nancy Cates, and requires 6 women:
two in (or able to play in) their 20's, two in their '40's, and 2 who are
50+.  (There's some latitude available with the ages.)

 

The show begins rehearsals on September 1, 2008, previews October 2, opens
October 3, and closes with a 2:30 matinee, October 19.  Performances are
Thursdays through Sundays.

 

Coach House is the area's oldest community theatre, an intimate house of 93
seats, an has been called in the press "Akron's hidden gem."  No performers
paid.
