A Physical Approach to Acting… a Dramatic Approach to Dance!
    This unique class is a rare opportunity to develop essential performance skills for all performers. This introductory session is a phenomenal primer for performing artists of all levels and will train actors and dancers alike to think of their body as a dramatic instrument for the stage. Class will focus on performance dynamics, corporeal technique, dramatic form, musicality, stage presence, breathing techniques, concentration and complicity in this physical approach to the performing arts. 
 
   Instructor Stephen Chipps is a resident artist with the Ohio Arts Council Arts Learning Program, a faculty member of The School for Mime Theatre, founder of Ground Zero Movement Theatre and co-founder of Kapoot Clown Theatre. Stephen’s solo show Manthology has toured in over 45 states throughout the US. He has also performed in Japan, Korea, Okinawa, China, Canada and Puerto Rico. Stephen is a student of mime and movement masters Marcel Marceau, Stefan Niedzialkowski, the Goldston & Johnson School for Mimes and the Saskatchewan Seminars for Mime and Movement Theatre.
