ABOUT THE FAIRMOUNT  PERFORMING ARTS CONSERVATORY  [FPAC]

Fairmount  Center's School of Theatre, under the direction of Fred Sternfeld, 
offers  workshops and classes for theatre students of all ages.  Classes are 
held  at the Mayfield Village Performing Arts Center, 6622 Wilson Mills Road, 
Mayfield  Village. 
THE ILLUSION OF THE  FIRST TIME*  **
(High School Juniors/Seniors - Adult) 
Mondays, Sept 22, 29, October 6,  13, 20, Nov 10, 17, 24*

How to be  completely taken over by the play. Learning through
exercise and scene study  how, independent of his will, the actor
lives the role, without noticing how  he is feeling, not thinking about
what he is doing, and so everything comes  out spontaneously,
subconsciously. We leave the subconscious to nature, the  magician,
and apply ourselves to what is available to us - the conscious  approach
to creative activity. This is an advanced class which explores  the
difficulty of creating the illusion that everything happening on  the
stage is happening for the first time.
