[NEohioPAL] Carousel Dinner Theatre will be holding a NON-EQUITY Open Call

The Carousel Dinner Theatre will be holding a NON-EQUITY open call for
the remainder of its 2008 and the entire of its 2009 season.  Joe Palmer
- Executive Producer. Sean Cercone - Artistic Director. Zach Dulli -
Associate Artistic Director. 

 

Auditions will be held at Carousel Dinner Theatre's Rehearsal Hall at
'Canal Place for Space' on SATURDAY NOVEMBER 8TH, 2008. (See directions
below). 

 

10AM- Non-Equity Singer/Actors: Please prepare 16 bars of two
contrasting songs. 1 Classic American Musical Theatre (Example's: My
Fail Lady, Carousel, Guys & Dolls) and 1 Contemporary American Musical
Theatre (Example: Wicked, High School Musical, Footloose) Please bring
current picture and resume. 

 

2PM- Children's Auditions (Ages 10-17) please prepare 16 bars of any
musical theatre song. Please bring current picture and resume.  We will
be casting for Carousel's 2008 Holiday production and Disney's High
School Musical from this call.

Rehearsal starts the middle of November 2008.

DOO WOP: Life Could Be a Dream

            -Open's January 7th, 2009 - Closes February 28th, 2009

                        Rehearsal starts December 26, 2008.

My Fair Lady

            -Open's March 4th, 2009 - Closes April 25, 2009

                        Rehearsal starts the last week in February.

The Full Monty

            -Open's May 6th, 2009 - Closes June 27th, 2009

                        Rehearsal starts the last week in April.

High School Musical

            -Opens July 1, 2009 - Closes August 29th, 2009

                        Rehearsals start the last week of June.

The Producers

            -Opens September 2, 2009 - Closes October, 24th 2009

                        Rehearsals start the last week of August.

It's A Wonderful Life

            -Opens November 4, 2009 -Closes January 2, 2010

                        Rehearsal starts the last week of October.

Breakfast with Santa / 2009 Holiday Show

Our New Center Stage Concert Series: 

 

Buddy: The Buddy Holly Musical

                        Runs only 1 week: April 27 thru May 2nd.

                                    Rehearsals start in the middle of
April.

Guys & Dolls

                        Runs only 1 week: October 26th thru October
31st.

DIRECTIONS TO THE CAROUSEL REHEARSAL HALL FOR AKRON AUDITIONS:

 

 

FROM THE SOUTH: 

Follow 77 North to Main and Broadway exit (Downtown) 

North on Broadway (stay to your right to get onto Broadway) 

At 2nd light turn left onto Bartges 

At 2nd light turn right onto Main 

Take the first left into Canal Place 

See below for further directions.*** 

 

FROM THE NORTH: 

Follow 77 South to Main St exit (Downtown) 

Go to the second light turn left. You are on Broadway. Stay in left
lane. 

Follow Broadway until Bartges St. Turn left. 

At 2nd light turn right onto Main 

Take the first left into Canal Place 

***The rehearsal hall is located in the building to your left as you
pull into the parking lot. There is a green awning with the numbers
1-2-9 on it. You will want to enter the building through the double
doors under the awning. Park anywhere in the lot. They will not ticket
on the weekends.

 

When you go in the door walk down the long hallway and down the ramp.
Turn left to get to the freight elevator. There will be signs. You will
need to press the appropriate button to get the doors to open and close.
Take the elevator up to the 6th floor. Our space is across from the
elevator.

*Please remember to close the elevator door behind you.
