The elf is back by popular demand! The Santaland Diaries is told from
the perspective of a 33-year-old slacker who takes a job as Crumpet, a
Macy's Christmas elf. As thousands of customers come through his
display, our elf teaches parents and children the realities of holiday
cheer. Sedaris' hilarious retelling of his unique experience in the
throes of the holidays is sure to bring a smile to even the grouchiest
face!

Featuring the talented and versatile Sean Booker as Crumpet the Elf!

Ohio and Regional Premiere

"Sex to change the course of the world..." In Boom, something is about
to explode and the fate of humanity hangs in the balance. CPT presents
the regional premiere of this exciting work that premiered at Ars Nova
in NYC in March 2008. In this hilarious new work, female journalism
student Jo answers male marine biologist Jules' casual- encounters ad
seeking "intensely significant coupling." She gets stuck in his
makeshift lab-turned-shelter and finds herself surrounded by bourbon,
fish tanks and a bunch of scary levers. It's the end of the world as we
know it and this is the date to end all dates!

The critics are raving about boom:

"The funniest play seen hereabouts this season and one of the most
thoughtful." - Tony Brown, The Plain Dealer

"An outrageous and often hilarious comedy...A rumination on sex,
sexuality, media and science in the modern age - but ultimately, it's
just good, naughty fun." - Brian Patrick Thornton, Spangle Magazine

"What appears to be a casual date evolves into something far more
momentous which includes Pampers, a baster, a broken leg, fish, Tampons,
drums and chains....If you like Theater of the Absurd, this is for you!"
- Roy Berko, Cool Cleveland

Featuring Kelly Elliott, Laurel Johnson and Douglas H. Snyder

CPT is proud to present this quirky comedy about an old house and
Janice, a twelve year old girl whose Christmas wish list includes
bleach, paraffin and other bomb-making materials. It's been a year since
the untimely death of Janice's father, and to deal with it all, she
holds spiteful conversations with her dolls and dreams of Justin
Timberlake, while her mother fantasizes about Harrison Ford and relies
on her superior baking skills to hold herself together. Throw in an
apartment that starts to plot murder and you're left with a wild and
crazy ride to redemption and healing.

Plus a gift for you from CPT this holiday season!

Head over to the Gordon Square Theatre on Friday and Saturday evenings
after The Santaland Diaries, boom and Crumble for a FREE performance of:

The Red Human-Headed Bull by Eric Alleman

The Red Human-Headed Bull is an autobiographical story by Eric Alleman
that describes a sad weight passed to him by his great-grandfather,
through two generations in between, and how he's decided to carry that
burden. He feels it's ok to let go of it all as the other players have
shuffled off this mortal coil.

"A dark story of living in the shadow of [Alleman's] great-grandfather's
past. During the hour-long show, you can hear a pin drop. There is not a
sound, not a movement from the spellbound audience...Thanks, CPT, for
this gift of a true and unusual voice that is not afraid of the
darkness." - Jean Seitter Cummins, Cleveland Scene

Tickets for all three shows are on sale now!
