Two flute camps are being offered this summer in Hudson. A great week-long opportunity for flute students to play, develop new skills, perform new music, meet other flutists, have fun!
July 13-17
Flute Choir
12:30-3pm 9th grade- 12th grade
Students entered in the High School Flute Camp will experience playing a variety of music written for the flute choir. Besides playing on their own instruments, students will experience performing with and on flutes of the extended flute family. Students will learn skills and techniques for the flute, and have the opportunity to break out in smaller ensembles. Guest area flutists will provide further enrichment. At the end of the week, a recital will be given to the families. Students need to provide their own flute and music stand for camp. Fee: $125
July 27-31
Flute Choir
12:30-3pm Grades 6-8 (with at least one year flute experience)
Students entered in the Middle School Flute Camp will experience playing a variety of music written for the Beginner/intermediate flute choir. Besides playing on their own instruments, students will experience performing with and on flutes of the extended flute family. Students will learn skills and techniques for the flute, and have the opportunity to break out in smaller ensembles. Guest area flutist will provide further enrichment. At the end of the week, a recital will be given to the families. Students need to provide their own flute and music stand for camp. Fee: $125
Instructor: Beth Thompson, Bachelor of Arts in Music Education & Flute Performance, Masters of Music in Flute Performance , member of Stow Symphony Orchestra, member of Suite Elegance, licensed Kindermusik educator.
