Cast is set for Moon Over Buffalo by Ken Ludwig

David Van Gaasbeek has announced that the casting of Ken Ludwig’s Moon
Over Buffalo is complete. The play, which is a Samuel French production,
will be performed on October 16-18 and 23-25, 2009 at the United Methodist
Church of Canal Fulton, 363 West Cherry Street, Canal Fulton, Ohio. Starring
in the lead roles of Charlotte and George Hay, two egotistical, long on
wind and over the hill actors who are making one last stab for fame and
fortune in the movies, are Kathy Devus and Mike Daniel. Kathy previously played
the part of Rosalind in the play in 1998 while Mike played George in 2000.
They are complemented by Jon Neumann as Paul, the rather nervous and love
struck business agent for the acting troupe, and Lisa Van Gaasbeek as
Rosalind Hay, George and Charlotte’s estranged daughter who has fled the theatre
to pursue a career in advertising. Rosalind’s fiancé, Howard, the
consummate nerd, is played by newcomer Nathan Sickman. Ethel, Charlotte’s mother
and the troupe‘s jack of all trades, is played by Linda Ryan while Richard
Maynard, the acting troupe’s lawyer, is played by Bill Brown. Rounding out
the cast is Eileen, the young actress who causes a great deal of
headaches, who is played by Sarah Price.

Mr. Van Gaasbeek is happy with the cast and believes that when the play
opens on October 16 at 8:00 pm, the audience will be getting the opportunity
to laugh long and loud. “In this year, especially this year, people have
to re-learn their ability to laugh. There is too much pain and despair
right now and we hope to bring comedy to a new level for our audiences. Moon
Over Buffalo is the proper vehicle for this type of endeavor,” said Mr. Van
Gaasbeek.

The play will be presented on October 16-17 and 23-24 at 8:00 pm. It
will be presented on October 18 and 25 at 7:00 pm. Admission is $7.00 for
adults and $5.00 for seniors and children under the age of 12. There will be
a dinner theatre on October 24 and the cost is $17.00 for adults and $15.00
for seniors and children under the age of 12.
