TrueNorth Theatre Holds Auditions for Sondheim Revue!

TrueNorth Theatre at the French Creek Nature Center in Sheffield Village will hold auditions for the musical revue Side By Side By Sondheim next Monday and Tuesday, September 21 and 22, at 7:00PM. 

This dazzling London and Broadway hit revue celebrates Stephen Sondheim's early career as a clever lyricist (West Side Story, Gypsy) and his rise to fame as a formidable Broadway composer (Little Night Music, Follies, Company.) Here is a chance for singers to perform many of his most challenging and beloved songs, including Comedy Tonight, Being Alive, Another 100 People, and Send in the Clowns. 

TrueNorth welcomes well known Cleveland area director Sarah May (Caroline, or Change, The History Boys, The Diary of Anne Frank, Six Degrees of Separation) who will be looking for 3 to 6 versatile singers with strong legitimate voices. Please prepare 2 contrasting short musical selections (under 2 minutes total) and bring sheet music with you. An accompanist will be provided. (We realize this is short notice; please do your best to find something to show off your voice and your range.)

Rehearsals will begin September 30. Many rehearsals will be scheduled for individual solo work; so bring your conflicts to the auditions, and we will do the best to work around them.

The show opens November 6 and runs weekends through November 22.
