Love a good mystery?
"Deathtrap" will keep you guessing!
At Coach House Theatre October 1-18
$10 Preview Performance, Thursday, Oct. 1 only
Coach House opens its season with the spellbinding "Deathtrap," a by Ira
Levin, a comedy/thriller full of twists and turns that will delight
audiences hungry for a good mystery.
"Deathtrap," by Ira Levin, holds the record as the longest-running
comedy-thriller on Broadway. A popular 1982 movie starred Christopher Reeve,
Michael Caine, and Dyan Cannon.
The show stars Terry Burgler (one of Coach House's two Artistic Directors)
as Sidney Bruhl, a washed-up Broadway playwright who desperately needs a hit
to revitalize his career. A promising young writer named Clifford Anderson
(Andrew Cruse, known to Northeast Ohio audiences for his many leading roles
with the Ohio Shakespeare Festival) delivers Sidney a terrific new play,
which could be just the break he needs. Sidney tells his wife Myra (Coach
House favorite Holly Humes) that he thinks the play might even be worth
killing for.
But things do not exactly goes as planned .
DEATHTRAP will be onstage at Coach House Theatre Oct. 1-18, 2009.
