[NEohioPAL] Looking For Theatrical Partnership

This is a long shot, but Elton John met Bernie Taupin in roughly the same manner, so here goes.

I have a rock cabaret theater project written and ready to roll. I have deep experience in rock and radio but am a little shy on the theater side. I'm therefore looking to partner with someone with deep theatrical experience and contacts, someone who can help get a first run up with a minimum of fuss. This person would, depending on the amount of financial and sweat equity, then become a presenting producer and share in all royalties going forward.

I'm not talking about a vanity project. I've written a fun show with mass appeal and a small cast that is both sit-down worthy and road-ready. It's kind of like Forbidden Broadway meets Woodstock, so it is aimed squarely at the baby boomer sweet spot while being broad (and funny) enough to appeal to anyone who's ever listened to rock radio. It's the kind of a show that will kill in a rock mecca like Cleveland and would benefit from a launch out of the rock n' roll capital of the world.

The show, in a slightly larger form, has an impressive track record already, but it needs to be rehearsed, refined and rewritten as necessary so that it sparkles. But it has infinite possibilities--rock clubs, casinos, theaters, Hard Rock venues the world over. The show is written to be performed by 4-5 singer/actors, and can accommodate either a live band or pre-recorded tracks.

I have marketing experience, unique marketing ideas, a sound concept and a fully developed script. I need a great director who 'gets' it, plus financial backers. Or someone who has the ability to find backers.

If you, or someone you know of, has the wherewithal to embark on an exciting theatrical journey with me, please respond. I can--and will--start small and build if I have to. However, I'd like to skip a few steps and hit the ground running.
