[NEohioPAL] BROADVIEW HTS. SPOTLIGHTS PRESENT CABARET SAMPLER

The Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater will continue its successful Cabaret Series with the "2011 Cabaret Sampler" to be held on Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28 at 7:00PM.  


This year's Sampler features three 30-minute acts, beginning with Molly Clay, who will chronicle in song her life as a mother and housewife.  Molly performed in "Flanagan's Wake" at Kennedy's Cabaret in Playhouse Square last winter.



Krista Shorf, who spent her several of her teen years on the Spotlights' stage and is currently a music education major at Ohio Northern University, will perform selections from a variety of musical genres showcasing her vocal versatility.  



Rounding out the evening is a duo of local performers, Ryan Bergeron and Tim Anderson (who also serves as the Education Director for the Spotlights).  Both were recently seen in the Beck Center's production of Jerry Springer: The Opera.  The pair will perform a newly conceived two-man show about waiting until the last minute to conceive a new two-man show.  



Dave Coxe will accompany on piano.   



Performances of the Cabaret Sampler will be at the Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building, 9543 Broadview Road (next to the Police Department).  Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased online at www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org or reserved by calling 440-526-4404.  Proceeds benefit the Spotlights' Education Department Programs.
