Friday Nov. 18 @ 8pm - An Evening with Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band
Tickets $20.50 adv/$25 door
 
The Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band consists of outstanding musicians with over 100 years of combined recording and performance experience. Joining guitarist Peter Rowan are Michael Witcher, dobro; Keith Little, banjo; and Paul Knight, bass. The ensemble has graced the stages of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Grey Fox, Merlefest, Rothbury Australia’s National Folk Festival, and numerous other festivals domestically and abroad, entertaining audiences with original and traditional songs executed in vibrant harmony.
 
 Peter Rowan – Guitar, Vocals
GRAMMY-award winner and six-time GRAMMY nominee, Peter Rowan is a bluegrass singer-songwriter with a career spanning over five decades. 
 
Keith Little – Banjo, Vocals
A native of the Sierra Nevada foothills of northern California, Keith Little is a nationally acclaimed bluegrass musician, recording artist, and composer. Over a career spanning forty years, Keith has been an important member of many national touring bands (Country Gentlemen, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Lonesome Standard Time), and has performed on the GRAMMY award winning recordings “The Grass Is Blue” and “Little Sparrow” by Dolly Parton, and “Another Country” by the Chieftains. 
 
Paul Knight – Bass, Vocals 
Paul Knight has been playing with Peter Rowan in various configurations for over 15 years. His driving acoustic bass has been part of recordings and live performances with a wide range of musicians including Jim Lauderdale, Laurie Lewis, and Crooked Jades.
 
Michael Witcher – Dobro, Vocals
Michael has recorded or toured with Dwight Yoakam, Fernando Ortega, Laurie Lewis, Tyler Hilton, John Paul Jones, Sara Watkins, The Gibson Brothers, Dolly Parton, Joan Osborn, Willie Watson (Old Crow Medicine Show), and Chris Jones among others.
 
 
Saturday Nov 19 @ 8pm - Alex Bevan and Matraca Berg
Tickets only $10 adv/$12 door
Alex Bevan has been sharing his voice, guitar, music and stories with 
audiences for more than thirty years.  First known as the "Skinny Little 
Boy" from Cleveland, Ohio who came to "Chase your wimmin' and drink your 
beer", Alex has made a name for himself through out the Northern Ohio music 
scene.  Drawing on his deep skill set of imaginative and honest song 
writing combined with an agile, improvisational wit that dovetail 
wonderfully with his flawless guitar slinging, Alex never fails to delight 
and charm audiences no matter what the venue.

His recordings span the 
gamut from folk to folk rock and pop to children's educational music and 
he has won a number of awards for his commercial efforts in radio and 
television.   Alex's creative works  have also contributed to documentary 
film scores.  You need to see him to believe 
him and hear him to know him.

A Kent tradition returns with the midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show.  Tickets ONLY: $5 adv/$7 door
 
 
 
Doors open one hour before the concerts.  Tickets will be available at the door and are available 24/7 at www.kentstage.org.
