two theatre performances.*

*

*Improv Troupe Performance*: Tuesday, November 22, 2011, 7:00 p.m.

The debut performance of our (as yet) unnamed Improvisation Troupe under
the direction of area actor/teacher Eric Lualdi. This short performance is
sure to tickle your funny bone and impress you with its creativity.

Winter Play, *Black Girl* by JE Franklin: December 1, 2, and 3, 2011, 7:30
p.m.

Trapped in a life that can lead nowhere, Billie Jean has dropped out of
school and taken a dead-end job in the local bar. Her ambitions bring her
into conflict with her envious sisters, both of whom have been locked into
dreary marriages too early, and her mother, who has given up on her own
children and now lavishes her care and affection on her "foster daughters.”
Billie Jean must fight a multiplicity of prejudices to win an education and
forge her own identity. This short but powerful play is under the direction
of guest artist Leslie Wright.
