Join us this summer at The University of Akron for Camp Digi-Lit. Our camps are designed to cultivate a taste for exploration, develop your child's creativity, and stimulate a sense of excitement about new technology and literacy. Our camps offer creative ways to increase your child's ability and interest in reading and writing through technology while helping to prevent learning loss over the summer months.

Forensic eFiles June 18-22, 2012 Grades 5-8
It's a mystery! Spend a week using your imagination and exploring the world of writing and solving mysteries. Learn from professional writers and educators how to use computer based software to help you write, edit, and publish your own digital mystery. You will get started by searching for clues, examining records, and obtaining key interview reports. At the end of the week, take home your own mystery to share with your family and friends.


Uncover the eTreasure June 25-29, 2012 Grades 2-5
Who dunnit? This camp explores the mystery-solving and writing process from start to finish. Follow digital clues to find patterns, solve problems, and engage in daily hands-on activities as you uncover a mystery and write your own story. Learn a variety of technology and writing fundamentals from professional writers and educators. At the end of the week, take home your own mystery to share with your family and friends.

Camp Day: 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Fees: $200 per child
Multiple children: $175 per child
Pre- and After-care camp: $20 per hour
