Beck Center is looking for a young male actor between the ages of 6 and 10 to play Andrew Jackson's adopted native American son for our upcoming musical "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson."

An ideal situation would be a very young-looking 9 or 10 year old....though perhaps a very together 6 or 7 year old might work. The idea is that the actor can realistically portray a six or seven year old... so smaller is better! It is NOT essential that the young actor looks Native American, though some ethnicity would be a plus. The character is in two or three scenes of the musical and has some dialogue. NO singing is required for this role!!!

The show begins rehearsals in Mid April with an opening set for May 25th. The show will run six weekends (Thru July 1st) on Fri/Sat/Sun. nights only. There is a possibility that the show could extend for 1 to 3 weekends, possibly running thru July 22nd. It is not anticipated that this will be a rehearsal heavy situation.... which means we can work around conflicts and your schedules up until 10 days before opening or so.

Parents~~~Please note that this music is chock full of adult language. If you'd prefer to not have your child around this then this is not the piece for you. There are no sexual situations however, and the violence in the piece is quite theatrical.

If you have interest please respond to this e-mail, or call Scott at 216-521-2540 x15. There is not set time for these auditions. Appointments will be made on a case-by-case basis. Any additional questions can also be addressed to this e-mail or by calling.
