Greetings Mary and thanks for the heads up, I had a feeling something was awry with this agency a few months back. They claimed to have roles in movies for me which were at the time, "currently being shot". I inquired more about these alleged  jobs that the rep also claimed the director wanted to see me personally audition for. The audition was for a specific role in a major film the director was currently making.  

I then asked for the audition date and time which they gave me, then they also said they were Emailing me the 'sides' for the audition and told me the brief character description for my alleged part.  I waited 24 hours and called them back inquiring if they had sent me the scene yet, as there was only a few days away from my audition set at 2:00 PM on a Saturday. 

The rep then started to switch the topic of conversation after saying 'don't worry about the script, we just want to see if we can use you in any of the current projects etc...  This of course was far different than the last conversation she and I had, she was also now informing me to arrive any time for the audition because it's an open call.  This was another thing that was contradicting to what the rep had said when pitching me and setting my appointment. I call this "The Bait & Switch".
I asked why I needed to be in an open call if the director wanted to see me personally for the specific role, and also asked what happened to my 2:00 PM appointment.
The rep then began to answer me by instead telling me about all the benefits of being with their agency etc...I couldn't believe the audacity and it was then I realized it was a very non-clever attempt to bilk some money from an actor like a Carnie working a rigged game at an amusement park.   

The correspondence between this company rep and myself, was as if I was being pitched to buy a used car, from some guy in a plaid dinner jacket & pants with a turtleneck sweater wreaking of Brut by Faberge, holding a toothpick in his mouth.  Spotting the con-job, I cut her pitch immediately and said thanks but no thanks, and hung up on her in mid-sentence as she continued on with her ill-gotten manner


Went to find out that this same company is all over Craigslist amongst all the "Wanted Big Butted Beauties for Adult Films" ads, and I've found that 90% of Theatrical ads on Craigslist are now for the adult industry, or a scam to bilk a person out of their hard earned cash.  Wow, sorry that reply was so long-winded but for what it's worth, there's my 2 cents.
