Theater Ninjas is remounting 2011's The Excavation in conjunction with Cleveland Museum of Art's newest exhibition The Last Days of Pompeii: Decadence, Apocalypse, Resurrection

     •Wednesday, March 20th 7 PM, Cleveland Museum of Art Atrium (Come 30 minutes early for tours of the Modern/Antiquities wings, guided by characters from the show!)
     •FREE to the public!

     The Theater Ninjas are on loan to the museum! Witness The Excavation: a theatrical examination of the life, death and resurrection of Pompeii. Rooted in the idea that human beings are frequently, blindingly, joyously wrong about most everything, this performance series seeks to understand people’s need to make sense of tragedy – artists, scientists, historians, curators, visitors – everyone who has been drawn to the story of the city destroyed by mount Vesuvius in 79 AD

    Follow our characters around the atrium as they try to explain volcano science, the nature of art, what makes a good gladiator battle, unrequited love, and what puppets have to do with Pompeii. You won't be able to see every segment, and new characters are zipping in and out all evening, so stay on your toes!

     In addition to this and other performances, the Ninjas will be presenting an interactive theatrical experience in the exhibition on "Ninja Days" - Fridays and Sundays starting March 8th (3-7pmFridays, 12-4pm Sundays).
