[The Cassidy Theatre]

*The Cassidy Theatre is looking for donations of plastic storage bins to
help in the current costume storage clean-up.*

*Large clear plastic containers are preferred but t**he theater is
accepting plastic storage bins of all sizes. Please only donate boxes that
have a matching lid.*

*The theater is also accepting monetary donations towards this costume
cleanup project. *

off your donations.*

*Casting:* Roles available for 5 men and 3 women, character ages 21 – 65+

Auditions will consist of readings from the script.

*Location: *The Cassidy Theatre, Room A (downstairs) 6200 Pearl Road, Parma
Heights, OH 44130

*Audition Dates: Sunday, June 9th- 7:00 pm June 10th - 7:00 pm *

*Show Info: The Mousetrap opens August 9th, 2013 and runs through August 25
th, 2013. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at
3:00 pm.*

*Rehearsals will begin at the end of June. *

*CAST of CHARACTERS *

*Mollie Ralston *– Proprietor of Monkswell Manor, and wife of Giles. (Age
21-27)

*Giles Ralston *– Husband of Mollie who runs Monkswell Manor with his
wife. (Age
23-29)

*Christopher Wren *– A hyperactive young man who acts in a very peculiar
manner. (Age 23-29)

*Mrs Boyle *– A critical older woman who is pleased by nothing she
observes. (Age 45-65)

*Major Metcalf *– Retired from the army, the strong silent type. (Age 50-70)

*Miss Casewell *– A strange, aloof, masculine woman who speaks
offhandedly.(Age 25-30)

*Mr. Paravicini *– A man of unknown provenance. (Age 50-70)

*Detective Sergeant Trotter *– A policeman (Age 23-29)

Synopsis: *N*ews on the radio at Monkswell Manor relates a murder that has
recently taken place. Mollie and Giles Ralston, the young, newly-married
owners of the once-regal estate which they recently converted into a guest
house, hardly notice the news. They are far too busy preparing for the
arriving of their first guests—and concerned that the blizzard raging
outside may hamper their arrival.

The guests arrive and Mollie announces that a phone call from the police
has informing her that an officer is being sent to the manor, in spite of
the weather. She was given no indication as to why the officer is coming.
Several of the guests are obviously unnerved by the announcement. It
becomes apparent that the Ralstons really don’t know much about their
guests. Gradually, everyone is becoming a bit suspicious of everyone else.

Sergeant Trotter assembles everyone for questioning. Each accounts for his
or her whereabouts, but none satisfactorily. Soon, everyone becomes
suspicious of everyone else. Everyone realizes a murderer is among them
.Who is the next victim? Will the murderer be unmasked in time to stop more
deaths? The Mousetrap has kept audiences guessing about these answers and
many more for over five decades in this classic who-done-it by the master
of British murder mysteries.
