Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood will be holding auditions
for our YEAR #2 production of...

ANNIE
Book by Thomas Meehan Music by Charles Strouse Lyrics by Martin Charnin

Please call 216-521-2540 x10 for an appointment for either:

Sunday, Sept. 29th (Slots available between 6:30PM and 8PM)

or

Tuesday, Oct. 1st (Slots available between 6:30PM and 8PM)

This call is for adults singer/actors ONLY. The Orphans from last season's production
are all returning, so no auditions for girls will take place.

Many performers from last year's production will be returning as well, so these auditions
are being held for a few slots that will need re-casting. Descriptions follow below.

Please Prepare: One musical theatre selection that shows off your voice. Bring sheet music
in your key. An accompanist will be provided. No dance at preliminary call.

Production Dates:   Dec. 6th thru Jan. 5th. {No performances between Dec. 23rd and 26th}

Rehearsals: Because this is a remount with many cast members returning, the hope is to
not begin until after Nov. 10th---making this a short and sweet rehearsal schedule.

Pay: All actors 18 and over receive a stipend for their participation. These particular
auditions, however, are for non-union performers ONLY.

Callbacks: Will be held the weekend of Oct. 5th/6th---times tbd.

Roles Sought:

Mrs. Pugh (Warbuck's Head of the Household, female, age range 35 to 60--also may double
as Sophie the Kettle in "Hooverville" and appears in "NYC" and other scenes)

Harold Ickes (The curmudgeon in FDR's Cabinet, male, age range 45 to 60-- also doubles
in many other scenes---mostly an acting track. Some minor singing)

One Male Ensemble (Tracks many scenes, incl. Warbuck's Staff, "Hooverville", "NYC"--
age range 17 to 30-- needs to be a good mover)

Two Female Ensemble (Track several scenes, incl. "Hooverville", "NYC", possibly Boylan
Sister in Radio scene-- age range 17 to 45)

If you have any addition questions, feel free to reply to this e-mail. Otherwise, please call 216-521-2540 x10
to make your audition appointment.
