The Akron Symphony is proud to announce auditions for its 2014 production
of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. This one-night-only affair (March 8th, 2014)
will be a fully staged production onstage at EJ Thomas, accompanied by the
Symphony, who will be performing the music composed by Felix Mendelssohn.
All roles are available and all roles are paid. We will have one or two
rehearsals during the month of December and then begin in earnest in
mid-January, after the holidays. Rehearsals will be held in Akron.

Auditions will be held on Monday, November 4th and Tuesday, December 5th,
from 6-10 PM, at Akron Christian Reformed Church, 50 Marshall Ave, Akron,
in Highland Square. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held on Thursday,
November 7th. Those interested in auditioning should sign up for an
audition slot at www.translationsart.com/midsummerauditions. Candidates
will be asked to bring a headshot and resume if they have one, and to
either A) prepare a 2-4 minute monologue from a verse play of the period
(Shakespeare, Marlowe, and the like) or B) read from monologues that will
be available that evening. If you have any questions, please contact the
director, Craig Joseph, at craigjose at gmail.com.
