Cleveland Shakespeare Festival via NEohioPAL neohiopal at lists.neohiopal.org
Fri Aug 1 12:23:06 PDT 2014

*FINAL THREE PERFORMANCES OF THE SUMMER!*

Christine Howey (reviewer for Scene Magazine) said our cast has "a raw,
adolescent quality that brings a freshness to the familiar yarn of a
terminal teenage crush" . This weekend we turn Romeo and Juliet into a
true (Near) West Side Story with three performances in the middle of the
two hottest entertainment districts in the city! Enjoy drinks and dinner
before or after the show at any of dozens of top-notch restaurants and bars
in the area!

*Friday, Aug 1 *at 7pm: Market Square Park - W 25th and Lorain Ave, Ohio
City
*Saturday/Sunday, Aug 2-3* at 7pm: Lincoln Park in Tremont

Performances begin at 7pm and are presented FREE OF CHARGE.

Rain spaces are available in the event of inclement weather. Please bring
a blanket or chair.

*OPEN MIC SHAKESPEARE reading group meets on Monday for "Timon of Athens"*
If you enjoy the works of Shakespeare, it's a far different experience to
speak the words aloud as they were intended, rather than simply read them
from page. On the first Monday of each month, we meet at the Negative
Space Gallery (in the AsianTown Center building at E 38th and Superior) at
7pm to read and discuss a different play each month. It's BYOB (bring your
own bottle and bring your own Bard - we have limited copies available, so
if you have a copy, bring it!). Roles are re-distributed each act so
everyone gets an opportunity to read a variety of parts.
*What's coming up?*
August 4: Timon of Athens
September 1: Hamlet (first half)
October 6: Hamlet (conclusion)
November 3: Troilus and Cressida
December 1: Henry VI, part 1
