Come join our team! Solon Center for the Arts works has an immediate opening for a part-time Theater Instructor!

Solon Center for the Arts has an opening for a part-time Theater Instructor, not to exceed 28 hours per week.

Qualified Applicants should have completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater or Theater Education from an accredited institution or have related work experience equivalent to such a degree. Graduate experience and knowledge of Technical Theater a plus. Interested applicants must have a minimum of two years teaching and/or directing Youth Theater experience (within the last five years). Responsibilities also include lesson creation, planning, preparation, instruction and directing youth/intergeneration productions. This position involves daytime, evening and weekend hours. The hourly rate is based upon experience and qualifications.

Candidates for this position will work closely with the Theater Coordinator and must be able to work with students of all ages and skill levels. Applicants must display a professional demeanor at all times and possess leadership qualities in and out of the classroom. In addition, the applicant should possess excellent problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills. Applicants must be able to work in a team environment.
