Radio on the Lake Theatre, the only theater company in Northeast Ohio exclusively dedicated to the illumination of the radio play, is pleased to announce its next live performance. The Birds will be performed on Friday, October 30 at 6 pm at the company's home base in Shaker Heights.
Adapted from the terrifying short story by Daphne DuMaurier, that served as the source material for the iconic Alfred Hitchcock film, The Birds takes place in a small seaside village in England in the late 1940s. The Waite family is plunged headlong into a fight for their lives when the local bird population declares war on humanity.
The Birds will be performed in Radio on the Lake's outdoor space. Seating is limited, and social distancing and mask-wearing will be strictly enforced. In the event of inclement weather on October 30, the performance will be moved to Saturday, October 31 at 3 pm. Admission is free, but reservations are required. To make a reservation, and for more information, please contact Caroline Breder-Watts at caroline at radioonthelaketheatre.org.
