TEATRO PUBLICO DE CLEVELAND is hosting a FREE Theatre Writer's Workshop starting Wed 2/15 for Latinx-identifying community members. FREEWRITER'S WORKSHOP with Eric Schmiedl For people who identify as part of the Latinx community Explore the form and structure of dramatic writing and create a short play in Spanish or English for Teatro Público de Cleveland's Obras En Evolución 2023, a works-in-progress new play festival in March! WORKSHOP DATES Wednesday, February 15 at 6:00 pm Saturday, February 18 at 12:00 pm Wednesday, February 22 at 6:00 pm Saturday, February 25 at 12:00 pm WHAT: This 4-day writing workshop is designed to guide the writer to a completed draft of an original short play or excerpt from a longer play. Participation in all 4 sessions is highly encouraged. English or Spanish fluency is not needed for the workshop. However, support in both languages will be available during all sessions. WHO: This program is for adults 18 and over who are interested in creating theatre with a local Latino theatre company whose work reflects the artistic goals, interests, and ideals of its members with the goal to fulfill CPT's mission to raise consciousness and nurture compassion through groundbreaking performances and life-changing education programs.
