The Cleveland Opera opens its 22nd season with a series offree concerts, open to the public. The first concert in theseries is “Fall in Love” …With TheCleveland Opera. The concert openswith the toast -- Brindisi -- from Verdi's LaTraviata, followed by the most famous arias and duets of Violetta, Alfredo,and his father Giorgio Germont. Otherbeloved duets include that of Nedda & Silvio from I Pagliacci by Leoncavallo; the Mimi-Rodolfo duet from Act 1 of La Bohème by Puccini; and the duet from The Pearl Fishers by Bizet. Lighter repertoire for this program willinclude selections from contemporary American musicals sung in English. The featured artists are Dorota Sobieska,soprano; Kyle Kelvington, tenor; Jeremy Gilpatric, baritone; and JacekSobieski, piano & music director.
