In this class, actors will learn how to approach a role through the study and practice of foundational acting principles within a fun, safe and creative environment. Through physical exercises, games, improvisational work and scene analysis, the actor will be encouraged to explore expansive and authentic behavior as it relates to the given circumstances. Although we will be examining traditional and non-traditional methodologies, the actor will have an opportunity to find his/her own sense of truth and process. That’s where we come in. Students will master the audition process from a flawless slate to a memorable delivery and everything in between. The class will use sides from film and television to learn script analysis techniques and incorporate improv as well! Our instructor will assign material and work the actors through their preparation for an on camera audition.
