She is soon confronted and torn between the faith of her church and the love of her family. Baldwin who wrote the classic novel "Go Tell It on the Mountain" and numerous literary works was the subject of the Academy Award nominated "I Am Not Your Negro <x-apple-data-detectors://9>".
