BW Men's Chorus Accompanist Department/Division: Conservatory Outreach Job Summary: The principal accompanist reports to and collaborates with the Chorus Director to accompany a one-hundred voice male ensemble. Ensemble Overview: https://www.bw.edu/academics/conservatory/outreach/prep/menschorus/ Duties and Responsibilities: · Accompany the ensemble on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the academic year · Accompany all pre-scheduled concerts, workshops and ensemble retreats (see attached schedule) · Lead sectional rehearsals during weekly rehearsals at the request of the Chorus Director · Provide mentorship to BW student accompanist assigned to the Chorus Qualifications: · 5-10 years of choral accompanying experience; degree in piano performance or collaborative piano desired, but not required · Understanding of and experience working with the male voice · High proficiency in reading from an 'open score', sight reading TTBB scores and transposition · Experience with organ performance preferred, but not required Salary: · Commensurate with experience and comparable with the BW Outreach Faculty accompanist salary schedule Contact/Audition: Please submit a résumé<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%A9sum%C3%A9> and two professional references to Adam Sheldon, Director, Community Music School and Outreach Programs by e-mail (asheldon@bw.edu<mailto:asheldon@bw.edu>) no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 7, 2015.
