Spark Theatre Company & Lorain County Community College announces non-equity auditions for its upcoming production of *The Imaginators*, to be rehearsed safely and filmed once for schools to use as a virtual field trip. Spark is seeking 1 performer for this production. *The Imaginators*, by Dwayne Hartford is the story of three children and the power of imagination. Anne and Tim have just moved to a new town and struggle to make new friends. Through a new neighbor, the children discover their own strengths, the value of cooperation, and the unlimited power of their imaginations as they figure out how to defeat an imaginary monster! The play reminds children and adults alike never to lose their sense of play and creativity. *AVAILABLE ROLE:* *ACTOR- *Open to all ethnicities and types. Seeking 1 actor to play the role of Nina’s older teenage brother (or sister) who spends much of their time looking for Nina. Nina hides from her sibling, telling her new friends they are actually a monster in disguise. In the end, this character is a pretty normal older sibling. Please note, adult actors are cast for this production. Actors who are not students at LCCC will receive a stipend of $400.00 and additional pay for each digital talkback they attend. *Spark Theatre Company and Lorain County Community College is committed to creating this project as safely as possible. As such, we are implementing the following:* - Digital Rehearsals as much as possible - Individual staging rehearsals (one for each actor) to walk individual blocking with Director; distanced and masked - Blocking created with distance in mind - Limited In-Person Rehearsals (planned in an outdoor space for ventilation) with masks; distanced for everyone - Limited, individual costume fittings with masks and temp checks - Temperature and Symptom Checks at all in-person meetings - Sanitizing all props, set pieces and frequently touched surfaces after each use - Creating a COVID Code of Conduct with cast and crew where everyone is comfortable - All in-person rehearsals/filming day(s) limited to 10 people, everyone will be distanced and masked except for actors actively filming.
