My last comment on this subject. When I work I expect to be paid no matter what field I'm in,(Teacher, policeman or performer) and that should be the expectation of anyone in this business who wants to be taken seriously.  When  I'm booked for  a project my time, talent, and experience is what you pay for its all I have as a performer(actor) if I allow that to be devalued it will continue to be a work for free situation. I am aware of the indy scene in Cleveland as I have been involve in several productions. I also have worked on union projects as well. if you are serious you will develop a budget to pay expenses to complete the project and then find, raise the necessary funds.   Thats what producers do raise funds. The old cliche is quite true you get what you pay for. You can't pay your talent but the movie will make cinematic history, really. Its the same tired line in this town.  If I 'm  talented enough to be in your project then I'm worth the
pay. Its unrealistic to ask for that type of time commitment without compensation. A weekend or a few days sure that might can be arranged if the project is something an actor really wants to do. But get in the habit of working for free and you become a hobbyiest(my word) not a professional whose work is taken seriously.
ciao

Wow.
Pretentious, Vanity, BS, Asking too much for not enough.  Ridiculous. Inexperienced.  These are all words and phrased that
come to mind when reading up the details of this hellish little circus, I mean,
"film production".

How can this be considered a serious project, when there is no budget yet the expectation is to work with all amature performers giving 36 days of creative work. This is exactly why we are so often not taken
seriously in the entertainment community. If  this is a serious project looking for a real chance to be picked up and distributed there needs to be  development of a budget for  talent .  We need to start being realistic about  our  film productions.
