Apollo’s Fire, Position Opening: Patron Services Coordinator

Apollo’s Fire, the Cleveland Baroque Orchestra, now in it’s 20th season,
seeking a full time Patron Services Coordinator.  The ensemble performs
approximately 30 concerts in venues throughout Northeast Ohio, as well as a
series of summer concerts and approximately 4-6 weeks of touring throughout
North America and Europe. Apollo’s Fire has released 18 commercial
recordings. The organization has a Board of 23 and a staff of 5 full-time
and 4 part-time staff members.

Patron Services Coordinator



The Patron Services Coordinator is the front-line interface between
Apollo’s Fire and its family of subscribers, donors and single-ticket
buyers. The position is approximately 60% box office and 40%
development.  Responsibilities
include (but are not limited to):



-          Serving as box office manager, both in-house as well as at
concert venues, including attendance at all events and mobile box office
coordination;

-          Coordinating cultivation events, including invitations,
follow-up calls, event planning, hospitality preparations, etc.;

-          Collaboration with the Marketing staff to implement distribution
of marketing materials;

-          Serving as liaison with donors and funders, including the prompt
processing of all individuals donations; processing grants; and assistance
with grantwriting;

-          Collaboration with the Managing Director to plan and secure
community partnerships and corporate sponsorships;

-          Foundation and grant research; maintain grants calendar;

-          Maintenance of key database information, including patron
purchasing history, mailing lists and donor records; as well as generating
regular reports on sales, trends, etc.;

-          Coordination of volunteers, including ushers, office help, etc.

-          Other duties as assigned



*Please note:  As Apollo’s Fire is a performing arts ensemble, the position
requires evening and weekend hours.  There are 6-7 sets of concerts per
year, with 4-6 performances in each set.  Attendance is required at 90% of
all concerts as well as special events.  However, a ½ day of comp time is
provided for each concert worked.*

Salary:  $27,000-32,000, commensurate with experience

Christmas and New Year’s.

Qualifications:            Bachelor’s degree, preferably in music

·        1-3 years professional experience with an arts organization

·        Excellent interpersonal skills, including on the phone

·        Excellent writing skills

·        Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets and box office
software

·        A car and a valid driver’s license are required; residence in
Greater Cleveland is also required
