For Immediate Release: Orange Community Education and Recreation STAGECRAFTERS VOCAL/PIANO COACHES AVAILABLE Instructors from Cleveland Institute of Music, Baldwin Wallace, and Peabody Conservatory Stagecrafters, a program of Orange Community Education & Recreation, offers private coachings for children, teens, and adults interested in improving their singing or piano playing skills. Half-hour lessons are generally held on a weekly basis at a cost of $25, and take place at the Pepper Pike Learning Center on the Orange Schools Campus, 32000 Chagrin Blvd in Pepper Pike. Stagecrafters’ coaches are professionals in their fields and hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree in theatre, musical theatre or vocal performance. Akron) Tickets: $20 General Admission/$15 Seniors & Students RED Company will present in fifth annual concert series entitled “HORIZONS” that will showcase an exciting evening of modern dance. On the program is RED Artistic Director Kelli Sanford’s choreographic works “Avalanched Heart”; “The Social Order” with live music by RED Resident Composer Alex Cooke, “Exploding Atoms”; and her world premiere work entitled “Secrets” with an original score by RED Composer Jonathan Monacelli. Cuyahoga Community College's beginner level film and video students are working on several short projects this semester and need local talent. This is an "Intro to Filmmaking" class taught by Prof. Bruno Tatalovic. Some of these talented beginners will become tomorrow's producers and directors (4-5 of my former students who started in this class couple of years ago - are already known in Cleveland's film biz for their great work), and couple of them won an award at this Summer's 48-Hour-Contest !!! If you are a local actor who wants to get more footage for your first demo-reel, this would be perfect opportunity for you. Each of these projects features 1-2 actors only and gives you a lot of screen time and dialogue or monologue lines. These are unpaid (volunteer / collaborate) productions. Get your first credit, your acting demo, connect with creative folks... If you REALLY want to become an actor - join local indie film artists and students now, and create content! Don't just wait for big Hollywood films to come to town, so you can be an invisible extra. ACT in local student projects! Also, if you have NO screen acting experience, but you truly BELIEVE that you have what it takes - COME and try out! The projects are 1 day (half a day) productions, sometimes in November (based on actors' availability). This is walk-in audition (cold read or short personal monologue - if desired). Stow Players season opener

Stow Players Opens 2015-16 Season Marriage equality takes a stand as Stow Players opens its 62nd year of quality community theater with the musical, My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding by the husband and wife team of David Hein and Irene Carl Sankoff, at the Heritage Barn in Stow's Silver Springs Park (access from Young Rd. entrance only). This delightful musical, based on a true story, will open on Friday, November 6, 2015, and run through Saturday, November 21. The musical is a dual coming-of-age story and is autobiographical as Hein wrote about his own mother's journey of self-discovery. Claire (JB Miller of Chagrin Falls) has divorced her husband Garth (Brian Pichola of Streetsboro), and takes a teaching job at The University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Canada While she is forced to leave behind her own son David (Jared McGrath of Akron/ Nathan Mudrak of Kent as Young David), she is optimistic to start her life over in a new place. She rents an apartment from Michelle (Carol Tymchenko of Stow) who hosts the local lesbian choir which includes Jane (Chanda Porter of Barberton), who is not only a lesbian, but also a Wiccan. Claire and Jane seem to hit it off, and the story then explodes as it tackles many issues intent on keeping the audience of their toes. Also in the cast are Jessica West of Kent as Irene and Dave Hinebaugh of West Akron as the rabbi, Sam, and other characters. MMLJWW also features the talents of Dave Stebbins of Stow as director and musical director, and Susan Omspacker of Stow as assistant director and production stage manager. MMLJWW opens on Friday, November 6, 2015, and runs for three weekends, through November 21. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00 pm, and there is one Sunday matinee, November 15, at 2:30 pm. Ticket prices are $15 for General Admission and $12 for Seniors and students. On Opening Weekend, the Saturday night performance (Nov. 7) will have a special BOGO $10. Anyone who purchases a General Admission ticket (NOT senior/student/comp) for that night is entitled to purchase a second ticket for $10. I am seeking an African American Male actor for two (2) events: A Dramatic Reading at Warrensville Heights Cuyahoga County Library on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 6-8 and a Dramatization as part of a concert on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. at God's Tabernacle of Faith in Warrensville Heights. The acting part at the Library will be a 5-minute monologue, and the acting part at the concert will be a series of 10 1-minute monologues to promote my new novel, Sins of the Father. The role is for the father of the main character. The pay is $50 for each performance.
