With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list, and his stepbrother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

The Tri-C Western Campus Theatre Department will hold auditions for: "The Actor's Nightmare" and "Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All for You by Christopher Durang Directed by Jimmy Green Auditions will be December 9th from 6-9 pm in the West Theatre and December 10th from 6-9 pm in the Western Campus Dance Studio (B115) both are located at 11000 Pleasant Valley Rd. Parma, OH 44130. Audition requirements: Please bring headshot and resume (if available) and be prepared to read from the script. Looking for up to 6 Women and 5 Men. No Children's roles. No Equity contracts. No other specific casting requirement. Rehearsals begin in early January Performances Dates * February 24, 25, 26, 27 at 8pm * February 28 at 2pm Description: Having casually wandered onstage, George is informed that one of the actors, Eddie, has been in an auto accident and he must replace him immediately. Apparently no one is sure of what play is being performed but George (costumed as Hamlet) seems to find himself in the middle of a scene from Private Lives, surrounded by such luminaries as Sarah Siddons, Dame Ellen Terry and Henry Irving. As he fumbles through one missed cue after another the other actors shift to Hamlet, then a play by Samuel Beckett, and then a climactic scene from what might well be A Man for All Seasons-by which time the disconcerted George has lost all sense of contact with his fellow performers. Yet, in the closing moments of the play, he rises to the occasion and finally says the right lines, whereupon make-believe suddenly gives way to reality as the executioner's axe (meant for Sir Thomas Moore) instead sends poor George to oblivion-denying him a well-earned curtain call. Sister Mary Ignatius, a teaching nun who is much concerned with sin in all of its various forms, delivers a cautionary lecture to her charges. One of them, a precocious little boy named Thomas, can quote the Ten Commandments on cue, and each time he does so Sister Mary rewards him with a cookie. But when several of her former students turn up the picture darkens, along with Sister Mary's indignation. One of them is the happy mother of an illegitimate child; another a contented homosexual; still another has had two abortions-the first after having been raped on the night of her mother's death; while another student, now an alcoholic, contemplates suicide. Their stories are disturbing-but also very funny-and it is quickly apparent that one thing they all have in common is their loathing for Sister Mary and the unyielding dogma which she forced on them in their formative years. Calling All Actors!! 1671 Productions LLC and Trestle Productions are hosting a 2nd Casting Call for our exciting independent film, SECRETS ARE TO KEEP, which depicts how the SECRETS people keep prevent them from being who they really are and thus preventing them from giving their all to God. Filming is tentatively scheduled for the Spring/Summer of 2016. Currently, all roles are unpaid, however that may change in the near future. No equity or AEA contracts are available at this time. Anyone arriving after the starting time will not audition that day. About the Show Godspell was Near West Theatre’s very first production, back in the summer of 1978. It seems only fitting to produce this animated and captivating musical once again in the first full season at Near West Theatre’s new home! This winter, a group of young actors will present this theatrical circus using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques, and a hefty dose of comedy. Based on the ancient writings of Matthew about the life and teachings of Jesus, and brought to the world stage by John Michael Tebelak in the early 1970’s, these inspiring stories of love, goodwill and compassion will come vividly to life through an eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville. Voice: Soprano (high: C6) Character 5 — Not the brightest of the followers, but very kind, sweet and innocent. She is Jesus' most devout follower. Voice: Alto Character 8 — The sassy and edgy one who is very urban and a bit cynical too. Voice: Alto (low: D3) Narrators — Most of the parables have a narrator or two. Our narrators should be among our best speakers! Ensemble — Will play the Judge, Widow, Debtor, Fellow Servant, Good Soil Leader, Shy Child, Weeds, Seeds, Lost Sheep, Sneaky Goat, Goats, Sheep, Goat Leader, Son, Pigs, Landowner, Elder Son, etc. Some have lines and some do not. Whether or not they have actual dialogue, ALL will be encouraged to develop larger than life characters.
