Many roles available for all ages and festive ensemble songs and dances throughout. It's 1860, and the stingy and cranky Ebenezer Scrooge HATES Christmas. Scrooge loathes people, wishes for the decrease of the surplus of the poor population, and runs his bank exploiting his employee Bob Cratchit and clients, giving bitter treatment to his own nephew and acquaintances. However, on Christmas Eve, he is visited by the doomed ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley, who tells him that three spirits will visit him that night. This classic story of awakening and redemption features all the songs from the film, including the Oscar nominated song "Thank You Very Much."

Casting Call for Model Talents- Seeking Adult Males (25 and up)We are currently casting for an upcoming advertisement shoot, that will feature some of our coin product. Seeking males who will be "security guards" for the photography, can be young or old, we will probably look to have some of both.Must be fit enough push a rolling cart, lift and bend, etc. No heavy lifting or anything but must have good mobility.Please let us know your availability for the days of August 19th, 20th and 21st. He would fantasize about being strong enough to take save his mother andtake them out of there. He dreams ofbeing a comic book artist and spends most of his free time creating anddesigning characters. Drake is very fearful of his father but desperately wantsto get his mother out of the house. Mara Carter, Female, 35 Mara had Drake when she was 19 years old andas such put off her college aspirations to raise her family. She wastraumatized at age 7 when her father walked out on her and her mother, shovingher into her mother’s arms and storming out the front door. Mara met Darren ata bar where he prevented an aggressive fellow airman from getting too physical.Mara got pregnant her first night with Darren and they were wed a year later.Mara feels compelled to keep the family together and having the family fallapart would be an unacceptable failure in her eyes. Darren Carter, Male, 39 Darren is a military man raised by a militaryman, and it’s his only way of life. He was a troublemaker as a kid, in and outof trouble with the law and his father would beat him whenever he got caughtdoing something he wasn’t supposed to do. His father drove him down to enlistin the air force as soon as he turned 18. Darren believes his violent commanding officer molded him into a realman and sees that way of leadership as the only way to raise a family.

Auditions: World Premiere

Auditions for the world premiere of "We Rise," written by Todd Walburn, will be held August 24-25 from 7-9 PM at the Second April Galerie Kathleen Howland Theatre, 324 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, 330.451-0924. The play explores the second decade of the AIDS crisis and the actions of the activist group ACT UP. "We Rise" takes a closer, intimate look at the 1992 White House demonstration as seen through the eyes of the individuals who took part in the landmark event. Director Margene Rannigan seeks three male actors 40-60 years old. One role is available for a female actor age 50. Please bring resume. Actors will be asked to read both dialogue and monologues from the script. Rehearsals begin Sept 1. The play runs two weekends in mid-October at the Kathleen Howland Theatre.

This is a very good paying job for such a short time commitment, 2-3 hours a week for around $12,000. The music is a mix of traditional sacred music and hymns on the organ, and occasional contemporary solos on the grand piano. "Wait Until Dark" Auditions

*Open Auditions* Auditions for the adult theater's fall production of, "Wait Until Dark," will be on August 23rd from 2-4 pm and on August 24th from 7-9 p.m. The show will run on October 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24th at 7:30 pm and on October 18 at 3:00 pm for a matinee. The show will be directed by John Schneider and those coming for auditions should be prepared to read from the script with others to select the best cast. They also should be able to provide scheduling conflicts, contact information and be able to provide a brief history of their theatrical background. *Character Breakdown for “Wait Until Dark”* SUSAN, late twenties to mid-thirties. Recently blind—is doing her best to survive in a newly dark world. She’s also doing her best to keep a marriage together that may not have the strongest foundation. Endearing but never helpless—an independent spirit whose cleverness is her best weapon in a frightening situation. Need a strong theatre actress with a timeless quality interested in building a highly detailed portrayal of someone struggling with new blindness. ROAT, thirties to fifties. An unknowable criminal from the underbelly of New York. He keeps everything about himself secret. Perhaps an old wound or deformity has kept him out of World War 2, but he mostly keeps that hidden from us. An exceptional actor, Roat takes on several roles throughout the story—young suffering husband dealing with a philandering wife, older father of the same cuckolded husband, and the mysterious organizer of this plan to reclaim a strange, yet priceless doll. Roat is at times charming, at other times frightening. A sadist and a control freak, he is a natural leader of lost souls. Need a chameleon-like theatre actor who is believable living in NYC of the 1940’s. Can be tall or short, of any type, but capable of dominating the stage with a cool, unforced sense of danger. LT MIKE TALMAN, mid 30s to mid 40s. A war friend of Susan’s husband. The kind of man who inspires trust without trying to; dependable and decent. He finds himself helping his friend’s wife and ends up involved in something far more complex and frightening than he anticipated. Or so we think. Really a master con man, he’s the third member of Roat’s gang, bent on reclaiming a doll containing something very valuable and very dangerous. But he’s having a crisis of conscience—he likes Susan and isn’t sure he can follow through with the plan. Believable in period New York of the 1940s. CARLINO, 40s to 50s. He fills a room literally and figuratively—a large man with a large personality. Carlino is recently out of jail and the experience wasn’t great—he’s anxious to get back on his feet and Roat’s plan affords him a chance for some quick cash. He doesn’t trust his new partner but he doesn’t have a choice. Though slightly paranoid and a little brusque, he’s a survivor and good at his job, which is convincing people he’s someone else entirely—a dependable, but overworked member of the New York police force. Believable in period New York of the 1940s. GLORIA, 12-14 (or young-looking 15). Smart beyond her years and lost in that no man’s land of adolescence, somewhere between a girl and a woman. Her home life is tough—dad is long gone and mom isn’t too dependable. She is independent, prone to jealousy, and desperate to be taken seriously by the adult world. She has a crush on Sam and resents his wife Susan just for existing even as she makes a little money helping the blind wife get by. But Gloria doesn’t shy away from danger (seems to relish the adventure of it actually) and proves she cares a lot more than she lets on. Believable in period New York of the 1940s. SAM, 30s. Susan’s husband. A war veteran who met Susan while recovering from post-traumatic stress. He’s a photographer trying to make his way in the world after the war. He’s a survivor and unwilling to entertain thoughts of self-pity, either for himself or Susan. He’s determined that they’ll make it in the world, despite both of their wounds (his on the inside, hers on the out). But this fierce focus might be pushing his wife away. Busy and on the move, he may see less of what’s happening in front of him than Susan does. Believable in period New York of the 1940s. (Lead) POLICEMEN-Two policemen come in at the very end of the play.
