Fridays/Saturdays at 8. A beautiful young woman in nineteenth-century clothing is found floating on an iceberg in the middle of the North Atlantic. When rescued, she says only one word: "Titanic." The woman, Winifred, is taken to an isolated spot on the coast of Maine where an expert on the sinking of the liner, a mysterious man named John, has arranged to interrogate her. His goal: to reveal her true identity. In Jeffrey Hatcher's winding and improbable tale is a delicious game of cat-and-mouse where no one is what they seem. As time runs out, what secrets will be revealed as they make one final journey to Scotland Road? Intelligent, enigmatic, a strong inner life/monologue. Captivating when being still and not talking. Ability to play a wide range, from withdrawn and scared to powerfully in control. * MRS. KITTLE: Ability to play 80s/90s. Intellectually sharp and discerning, yet physically frail. Suspicious, carries a deeply buried secret. * DR. HALBRECH: Female 30-40's. An intelligent, professional, no-nonsense psychologist. All CVLT auditions are open to all and no roles are pre-cast. No appointments are required. Come prepared to read from the script. However, on Christmas Eve, he is visited by the doomed ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley that tells him that three spirits will visit him that night. The musical features all the songs from the film, including the Oscar nominated song 'Thank You Very Much'. Cleveland Ballet and Neos Dance Theatre Announce Collaborative Partnership to Bring Classical and Contemporary Ballet to Northeast Ohio!! Cleveland, OH — The new Cleveland Ballet proudly announces an exciting collaborative partnership with Neos Dance Theatre, to launch the start of its preview season at Playhouse Square and beyond for fall 2015. ! ! The new Cleveland Ballet — under the artistic direction of former Cleveland Ballet principal ballerina Gladisa Guadalupe — begins rehearsals August 17, with newly hired professional dancers, the ﬁrst since the company announced its re-establishment under new leadership. The companies perform Wesner’s version of “Count… The Legend of Dracula” on October 17, 8 p.m., at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansﬁeld, and again on October 30, at Akron’s Civic Theatre, 8 p.m. Other performances are scheduled for winter 2015 and spring 2016. A native of Puerto Rico, Guadalupe moved to New York City’s School of American Ballet, graduating as a scholarship alumna, while studying under the celebrated George Balanchine, father of American ballet and of the modern ballet movement. In her professional career, she performed under legendary choreographers Dennis Nahat, Ian Horvath, Margot Sappington, and Louis Falco, touring North and South America, Asia and Europe. The Dark Room is an ongoing event held on the second Tuesday of each month. The Dark Room affords emerging and veteran playwrights the space and resources to develop new works. It offers a venue to workshop plays, novels, poems, or any other written work in a supportive, yet critical environment. *Tuesday, August 11th* The Church at CPT (Just east of the Gordon Square Theatre Box Office) Cleveland Public Theatre 6407 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102 *7:00pm: *Sign-up begins for writers and actors (space is limited). Writers names will be drawn randomly at 7:15pm to determine whose work will be presented. The Indie Gathering International Film Festival is coming up August 27th-30th at The Clarion Inn & Conference Center in Hudson, OH. Don't miss out on the networking event of the year! The event features 138 films from around the world, two days of industry lectures and panel discussions, acting competition, stunt competition, FX makeup competitions, a convention, networking parties and more. Advance tickets can be purchased until August 15th, and passes will also be available at the door. We have also extended our early registration for the acting and stunt competitions to August 15th.
