The colorful operetta offering something for everyone to enjoy, blending pop, rock, country and calypso melodies by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice. The duo also collaborated on /Jesus Christ Superstar/ and /Evita/, in addition to the myriad other cultural touchstones individually. The play is based on the ‘coat of many colors’ story of Joseph from the Book of Genesis. Joseph is the favored son of Jacob, whose other eleven sons act on their jealousy by faking Joseph’s death and selling him into slavery. Joseph eventually finds himself in prison, where his ability to interpret dreams catches the notice of Egypt's rulers. When Joseph becomes advisor to the Pharaoh, saving the country from famine, his brothers must go to Egypt and beg for food. The story is told through a series of songs woven together by The Narrator. For CVLT Director Michael Rogan, the story is for and about dreamers. “It’s a fun, uplifting musical that ultimately tells us that anything is possible if you dream big,” Rogan said. “It also tells us that good things can happen to a man who believes in his dreams. Joseph overcomes adversity and completely forgives his cruel and jealous brothers for placing him in harm’s way. We really need an uplifting experience after this election season.” The cast includes John Kolar as “Joseph,” Alex Noel Petsche as “The Narrator,” and Bob Apanasewicz as “Jacob.” It also includes twenty-two actors portraying the eleven brothers and their wives, along with a youth chorus of fifteen children. The music is directed by Lynne Provance, with dancing by choreographer Jen Justice. In some ways, the show is a reprise of the CVLT's 2012 staging, also directed by Rogan. That production broke records at the CVLT Box Office, becoming one of the 86-year-old organization's hottest tickets on record. “We have Alex and John reprising their roles as 'The Narrator' and 'Joseph,' plus several other returning cast members,” he explained. “Only this time we’re a little older and wiser, giving the show a different perspective.” The show runs 8 PM Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 18, and includes 2 PM. matinees on Nov. 27*, Dec. 4, and Dec. 18. A truly wild ride! A writer holed up in a run down seaside hotel tries to overcome a tragic accident by teasing a story out of himself. He's joined by a wildly bizarre band of hotel staff and guests (a tattoo artist, a slow-moving handyman, two sinister Russian puppeteers and their dancing rat, and the writer’s creation himself: Coconut Joe of Kokomo). The assembled band of misfits brings his weird and wondrous story to life, while creating a few wild ones of their own. LIKE I SAY is directed by Tyson Douglas Rand, and features actors Robert Branch, Robert Hawkes, Marcia Mandell, August Scarpelli, Linda Sekanic, Clyde Simon, Lauren B. Smith and Logan Smith. In need of a Motion Designer/VFX Artist for a Title Sequence (30-60 seconds) for a short film Me/Project: I'm Cole Kornell the Writer, Director, Editor, and Executive Producer of my student Thesis film, Unending Love, a story about the connection between two people in three different lifetimes and their struggle to stay together through obstacles from outside threats. I'm from Northeast Ohio and about to graduate from Ringling College of Art & Design majoring in Film. Concept:The idea is of universal proportions (literally). PART I takes place in the Cosmos with celestial beings made up of stars, galaxies, nebulas, and gases. With the concept that Love is bigger than all us and that this story is about these two beings. There's also an important quote or V.O. to start it off. PART II is the ending title sequence (still in the Cosmos) that then turns into credits. Also there's one shot in the third life (Future) where I would love for the sky to be replaced with an alien feel (as the characters are on another planet), such as other planets, moons, stars, spaceships or whatever may work. Quality: - I'd the like the work to be of 4K dimensions (3840 x 2160 pixels) - Made up of 3D & 2D work - Running Time est. 30-60 seconds of work - Exported file of 4K dimensions (ProRes, whatever is the best exported file for the film) Personal Note:I'm completely open to your thoughts and ideas for overall concept. I just have the general outline and what was written in the script. I would like for you to have creative freedom.
