AUDITION WORKSHOP - How to Self Tape Amazing Auditions From Home

If you're serious about acting and want it make it your *CAREER*, learning how to self-tape your auditions from home is a must. As of today, I have personally booked 18 jobs in 2016 - all through self taped auditions. I've also helped many local actors tape auditions for major TV shows and feature films. A few months ago, I met an actor from LA who booked a recurring role on* THE WALKING DEAD* via self taped audition! No callback, no casting director interview, nothing - just one self taped audition got him the part! Self-Taping has become an industry standard. Those that are able to do it well have a leg up on the competition. Join me at the workshop on May 15th as we breakdown the elements of a professional self-taped audition and learn how to record, edit, and upload an audition using only your smartphone! You'll also learn how to get creative with your audition videos so they really stand out from the crowd. I'll show examples of my own auditions to demonstrate this. Last, but not least, we will go over ways to find and submit for audition opportunities online. It’s an awkward time with or without the stress of moving to a new school and preparing for a Bar Mitzvah. “13” is a hit musical <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_theatre%20/o%20Musical%20theatre> with lyrics and music by Jason Robert Brown <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Robert_Brown%20/o%20Jason%20Robert%20Bro…> and book by Dan Elish, and Robert Horn. 12 year old Evan Goldman has everything and lives in the world’s greatest city — New York. When his parents divorce he's forced to move with his Mother to Indiana. Uprooted from his old life, he must maneuver his way through a new Jr. high school, while preparing for his Bar Mitzvah. “13” is a high-energy musical about growing up, coping with change and learning that becoming who you want to be - begins with discovering who you really are. “13” is a show written for teens, performed by teens and appeals to the awkward teen lurking within each of us. Director, Jill Koslen-Freireich calls “13” the “RENT” for teens. It’s high energy, edgy and at times may cross some lines. The story is told from the mind-set of a 13 year old boy. This is the second time that Beachwood Community Theater has mounted this production. All of the actors are ages 12 – 15 and reside in Beachwood, Solon, Aurora, Shaker Hts., Mentor, Lyndhurst, Twinsburg and Chagrin Falls. Some cast members are presently preparing for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah and many cast members will celebrate their 13th birthdays at rehearsals. All of the productions candy and water proceeds will benefit Harvest for Hunger. Archie, a character in the story, lives with Muscular Dystrophy. The cast has determined that all profits from flower sales will benefit ALS research and the M.D.Foundation. They were first loves as teenagers, however, after 15 years they've grown apart. That is until one morning, they awake in each other’s bodies.
