The main character, NAPPY, isa "self made man" who is tough on his family and demands respect fromall that cross his path. He is conflicted with the changes he sees in hiscommunity and his family's desire to leave his oppressive control and findtheir own lives. He loves them but does not know how to communicate that love. What is aDramatic Reading ? It’s a ‘Dry Run’ for a play. Thereare no props or staging. It’s just the acting out of the written word. Apollo's Fire seeking part-time production assistants

APOLLO’s FIRE, THE CLEVELAND BAROQUE ORCHESTRA, is looking for stagehands to occasionally work on a part-time basis from October through December of this year. Apollo’s Fire is based in Cleveland Heights and primarily plays concerts in churches throughout northeast Ohio. Interested stagehands must be able to lift at least 70 pounds. Most calls will happen between noon and midnight with breaks provided. Our concerts are held throughout Cuyahoga county, Akron and Willoughby Hills, therefore stagehands must provide their own transportation to/from concert venues. Due to our erratic work schedule, works calls will be cemented two weeks beforehand to permit other employment. Our production dates are as follows October 2-13, November 14-20 and especially December 6-18. Starting pay rate is $19/hour. Ohio Shakespeare Festival's is casting ensemble fighters for ROBIN HOOD: AN ADVENTURE, WITH MUSIC. This is our first production at our new indoor theatre at Greystone Hall in Akron. Directed by Tess Burgler, Fight Choreography by Ryan Zarecki. We are seeking featured ensemble actors (male or female) who are primarily fighters/swordsmen. Much fight choreography to learn in a short rehearsal process. Must be athletic/coordinated, previous fight experience a plus. Stipend for all performers.
