The Dark Room is an ongoing event held on the second Tuesday of each month. The Dark Room affords emerging and veteran playwrights the space and resources to develop new works. East Cleveland Theater is hosting auditions for Race, by David Mamet. *Synopsis:* Published in 2008, and opening on Broadway in 2009, Race is a no-holds-barred into the legal system, long before a case is heard in the courtroom. Lawyers must decide whether to take a case, and then IF they take a case, what strategies need to be used to win a case. At stake is of course TRUTH ... or is it. *The Roles:* *Jack Lawson**: *White male, late 20s to 50s, Lawyer *Charles Strickland**: *White male, late 20s to 50s, Corporate executive. *Henry Brown**: *African American male, late 20s to 50s, Lawyer *Director: Jim Weaver, SDC* *Audition Dates:* Wednesday, December 13, after 6pm. We are preparing a wonderful end-of-year party for you. Please join us on Saturday, December 30th as we dance our cares away and celebrate new beginnings while dancing to one of the best bands in the area, Red Light Roxy. Please take note that this event is on the eve of the eve. :) Dress to impress! This event is a glitzy and glamorous affair! Everyone is welcome to attend. You can bring your own dance partner, attend solo, attend with a group, meet friends there. There is no need to purchase tickets in advance and tickets are only $12 per person. No discounts for this special event. The Waterloo Ballroom at the Slovenian Workmen's Home is located in the very artsy and lively Collinwood neighborhood. Two parking lots right next to the hall. 8-9 Jitterbug dance lesson for all levels 9-12 Red Light Roxy will inspire your soul and soles to float around the dance floor in a blissful euphoria. You will not need to bring a dance partner. We rotate partners during the dance lesson. How often do you get to meet 50-100 new people in under an hour? Sometimes hysterical, sometimes poignant--- with spices of naughtiness throughout. *Audition Dates and Times:* *Monday, January 8th from 6PM to 8PM* and *Tuesday, January 9th from 6PM to 8PM* It is anticipated that callbacks (if needed) would be held the weekend of January 13/14. *Auditions will be BY APPOINTMENT and will be taken beginning Monday, Dec. 11th by calling 216-521-2540 x10* EdgeNewYork.com says "*One of New York's best new plays!
