Have you ever watched a movie or a play and immediately wanted to talk to the writer to tell them how little sense their script made? Or maybe you wish they would have added in more information about the super cool sister character. Well - now's your chance. Stow Players has a new program this year called the Emerging Playwrights Reading Series where local playwrights can submit their work to be presented in a Staged Reading where the audience is encouraged to give feedback. On Monday, March 20th at 7:30pm we will be presenting a series of short plays written by local playwright Brandi Eaton at the Heritage Barn at Silver Springs. Admission to the performance is FREE. Reservations are not required. The Garrettsville Curtains up Theatre is holding auditions for their production of GodSpell on May 16 and 17 at 7pm in the James A. Garfield High School. Please have a memorized monologue (1 minute minimum) prepared – preferably a comedy or drama one, and a song to be sung a-cappella. The show runs July 21, 22, 23, 28 and 29. He soon discovers that, although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates and their ever-elusive purpose in life. Filled with gut-busting humor and a delightfully catchy score, not to mention puppets, Avenue Q is a truly unique show that has quickly become a favorite for audiences everywhere. Although the show addresses humorous adult issues, it is similar to a beloved children's show; a place where puppets are friends, Monsters are good and life lessons are learned. Most recently Will was seen as Prince Herbert/ Not-Dead-Fred in Weathervane's production of Monty Pythons Spamalot. Other notable roles include Smee in Peter and the Starcatcher (Weathervane), Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls(Olmstead Performing Arts), William Barfee in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Huntington Playhouse) and the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz(CAMEO.)
