Decades later audiences continue to be moved by their simple yet universal struggles, dreams, loves and triumphs. Show Information; Winner of the Tony "Triple Crown" for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, Avenue Q is part flesh, part felt and packed with heart. The laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton, who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that, although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates and their ever-elusive purpose in life. Filled with gut-busting humor and a delightfully catchy score, not to mention puppets, Avenue Q is a truly unique show that has quickly become a favorite for audiences everywhere. Although the show addresses humorous adult issues, it is similar to a beloved children's show; a place where puppets are friends, Monsters are good and life lessons are learned. Casting Requirements Looking for a cast of 11, ages 18+ for all roles. No previous puppetry experience needed; just strength, dedication and will! Gender: Male Vocal range: A2-G4 Trekkie Monster A reclusive creature obsessed with the Internet and all it has to offer. Puppet. Gender: Male (Female actresses will also be considered.) Vocal range: Bb2-Eb4 Lucy A vixenish vamp with a dangerous edge. Puppet. Gender: Female Vocal range: F3-F5 The Bad Idea Bears Two snuggly, cute teddy-bear types. Puppets. Gender: Male and/or Female Brian A laid-back guy married to Christmas Eve. Gender: Male Vocal range: B2-F#4 Christmas Eve A therapist who recently moved to Avenue Q from Japan. Gender: Female Vocal range: B3-F#5 Gary Coleman Yes, that Gary Coleman. Lives on the Avenue and is superintendent of the apartment buildings. Gender: Male or Female Vocal range: D3-Bb5 DIRECTOR Will C. Crosby -- Originally from Lakewood, Will has worked all over the Cleveland area as an Actor, Director, and Stage Manager. Most recently Will was seen as Prince Herbert/ Not-Dead-Fred in Weathervane's production of Monty Pythons Spamalot. Other notable roles include Smee in Peter and the Starcatcher (Weathervane), Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls(Olmstead Performing Arts), William Barfee in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Huntington Playhouse) and the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz (CAMEO.) Will worked as the Director of the Garfield Middle School drama program in Lakewood, as well as directed for this year's 8x10 TheaterFest at Weathervane. Film Fest. strives to showcase the best local, national, and international films from up-and-coming filmmakers. VINCENT LIGHTING SYSTEMS Job Posting Outside Sales SUMMARY: Service current and prospective customers by effectively selling products and/or services to meet the customer's needs while achieving profitable outcomes in northern and central Ohio. This is a full-time position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Contact existing and potential customers for sales of theatre and special application lighting systems, related equipment and services, by planning and organizing daily work schedule. * Work with system specifiers in the design and engineering field for assistance in lighting system design, utilizing products offered by Vincent Lighting Systems. * Create and present sales quotes for lighting projects and related equipment/services to customers. * Coordinate and provide information on sales efforts with project management and other internal staff, to ensure proper execution of order(s). * Establish, develop and maintain excellent business relationships with current and prospective customers, vendors and colleagues to create "customers for life". * Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, expense reports, and other necessary paperwork. * Resolve issues by investigating, developing solutions, make recommendations, and follow up with the customer and internal staff to ensure all issues have been resolved. * Create and maintain records pertaining to sales territory and customer sales. * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending trainings, product demonstrations, tradeshows and departmental meetings. * Other duties as assigned and directed. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION: * Must have a BA or BFA in technical theatre or 3-5 years related experience. * Excellent customer service skills are essential. * Must have the ability to evaluate a customer's needs and provide appropriate solutions. * Must be able to identify, negotiate and close opportunities with profitable outcomes. * Excellent organizational and time management skills are a must. * Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal). * Good territory management and prospecting skills are a must. * A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows are required. * Must maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance. * Must have reliable transportation and a good driving record. * Prior technical sales experience and a theatre background is desired.
