Someone that could share with you: - …the many ways actors make money every day, even outside of Hollywood. - …exactly what clients and casting directors are looking for when casting these jobs. - …the tools that will get you the best bookings, sometimes without even auditioning. - …how to get people working on your behalf to get the highest rates possible for your bookings. Thousands of actors get booked every day in commercials, training videos, and film & television. Most of these actors don’t live anywhere even NEAR Hollywood, but get paid good money to act on a regular basis. Why shouldn’t you get booked on those same kinds of jobs? Nobody likes rejection. And nobody likes to work their tail off going from audition to audition, just to end up getting small roles that don’t pay well (or at all). When I was a talent agent, I worked with hundreds of people that desperately wanted to get paid to act. Over time, I learned exactly what clients and casting directors were looking for, and I used this information to advise actors on exactly what they needed to do to book more jobs. Many actors didn’t take my advice–they may have occasionally booked some jobs, but not very good ones. Most of these actors got frustrated and eventually gave up on their dreams of being an actor. *But the actors that followed my advice always got the best auditions and the best bookings.* A lot of these actors were able to make some great money for acting gigs. The camp culminates in a red carpet premiere of their film at a local theater where their movie will be seen by an audience of filmmakers, media, fans, friends and family. OHIO YOUTH ENSEMBLE STAGE (OHYES) ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR “PIRATES OF PENZANCE” MUSICAL MEDINA, OH (April 6, 2017) – The Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage (OHYES) announces auditions for The Pirates of Penzance, a farcical musical by Sir William Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan. The production will be directed by Nate Sayatovich and produced by Ansley Valentine. Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, May 7th 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday, May 8th 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Summa Lake Medina Healthcare building located at 3780 Medina Road (across from “Yours Truly” on Route 18) in Medina. Auditions will be in the Main Floor Conference Room. Audition appointments can be made online at https://ohyes.acuityscheduling.com/. The production will be presented June 29th, 30th, July 1st in Medina. Any school-age students from elementary through high school may audition. Auditioning students do not need to prepare anything in advance. Auditions consist of reading from the script and learning a song. First-time participants are encouraged to audition. There is a $100 participation fee for any student in the cast. The fee helps to defray some of the program costs, and every child receives a t-shirt and two tickets to the production. There is financial assistance available for any child who demonstrates a need. A new adaptation scaled for student actors, The Pirates of Penzance brings to life a gang of swashbuckling pirates, dainty maidens, bumbling police officers and one very fast-talking Major General in a 70-minute musical romp that will delight the whole family. The Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage was formerly called Summer Youth Musical. Past productions include Alice in Wonderland and Shrek the Musical Jr..
