Good Morning!!! Playmakers is thrilled to announce our 24 Hour Musical thisweekend! We would love for you to join us as our high school and collegeactors take the stage for… We can’t tell you!! In fact, the actors won’t know the show until they arrive at 10pm onSaturday night. After the BIG REVEAL,Sheri Gross and I will get to work on directing this fabulous musical. We love Bye Bye Birdie so much and can’t waitto bring it to the stage! If that’s whatit is. Or maybe it’s not. Who knows?! (We will be confiscating phones upon arrival to keep the secret safe!) When you arrive on Sunday, you will not find out what theshow is until the opening number at 7pm. I’ve heard rumors about Snoopy, Joseph and the Amazing TechnicolorDreamcoat, Phantom of the Opera, and Sunset Blvd. Who knows?? It could be one of these or something else. All of these pieces will be presented on September 23 as part of the 3rd Annual Cleveland Playwrights Festival. Pine Lodge is seeking ACTORS/ACTRESSES in a short film to shoot around CLEVELAND, September 2-4 and September 9-10. Unpaid. EDWARD (Male, 25-35)- Meek, unimposing young professional with tunnel-vision goals. Follows a mysterious lead into the underbelly of the city in search of a “good time”. OCCUPANT (Male, any age)- Tall, muscular, intimidating presence. A brute who runs adjacent to Edward in his hunt for a “good time”. MS. JEREMY (Female, 40s-50s)- A matter-of-fact, dry, strange doctor who holds the answers many seek. CLERK (M/F 18-25)- Mechanical in their apathy, but helpful. Audition Notice “Without a Clue” a killer new comedy written by Breianne Knight Directed by John Schneider Audition dates and times Sunday, August 20th at 2:00 Monday, August 21st at 7:00 Olde Towne Hall Theatre – 36119 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville Auditions will consist of reading scenes from the script. Plot Summary Justin Tyme owns a small hotel that has its share of problems. During a thunderstorm, the maid, Lulu, discovers one of the guests staying at the hotel has been murdered. Brooke, a girl with a broken down car, arrives right before an inept detective. Pretty soon, all of the guests are brought together to figure out the killer’s identity and survive the night. The problems double when Sally Lynch, a building inspector, arrives to evaluate the condition of the hotel. Character Descriptions Justin Tyme – age 20s to 30s. Owner of the Falcon Inn. A bit high strung. Inspector Stumph – any age. A bumbling detective. Howard - any age. A wise-cracking, lazy maintenance man. Can double as the dead body and is carried around onstage. Slash - 20s. A wannabe British rock star with a fake accent. Mortimer - any age. Expressionless. Monotone. Sits on a couch and wears a cape. Brooke – age 20s to 30s. Level headed. Points out the absurdity of the situation. Lulu – age 20s to 30s. The maid. Often confused. Has a crush on Justin. Tina – age 20s. Slash's girlfriend. Somewhat neurotic. Has fainting spells. Sally Lynch - age 35+. A building inspector. Very stern and serious. Actors need to feel comfortable performing physical comedy (tripping, stumbling and falling). Performances are September 29, 30, and October 6, 7, 8, 13, 14. Rehearsals will be Monday - Thursday at 7:00 with two Sunday rehearsals at 12:00. Rehearsals start Aug. 24. Questions?
