Mainstream Leadership Network (MLN) is in need of one MALE and one FEMALE to act in training videos roughly twice a month from February through May. This will be a PAID position. The compensation will be similar to a $10-15/hr wage. MLN is working to develop more professional training videos for their clients to use on their membership site. Each month, MLN will need 5 to 10 hours of your time split between two days for filming. Filming will occur on Mondays and Fridays. Filming location will be in East Liverpool, OH most of the days. Two hours from Cleveland, one hour and twenty minutes from Akron/Canton, and fifty minutes from Youngstown. Action will consist of things like mocking group meetings, sales calls and presentation preparation. Most filming will require acting without dialogue. Then they confront a problem that even being a happy family can’t solve: When identity matters, and privilege is problematic, what is the value of being a straight white man? Directed by: David Lee, Co-Artistic Director Auditions will be held March 13th and 14th from 7-9pm All auditioners are asked to come prepared to cold read from the script. Celebrate Black History Month with Master Teacher Lauren Anderson� (Cleveland, OH) – Cleveland City Dance will host a weekend of Master Classes with inspiring teacher Lauren Anderson. A native Houstonian, Lauren Anderson danced with Houston Ballet from 1983 to 2006, performing leading roles in all the great classical ballets, appearing across the world to critical acclaim audience, and in the process, becoming one of Houston Ballet’s most beloved stars.� � She trained exclusively at Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy from the age of seven. She joined Houston Ballet in 1983 as a Corps de Ballet. In 1987 she was promoted to soloist and in 1990 became the first African-American to be promoted to principal dancer at Houston Ballet. She is also one of the few African-American ballerinas at the head of a major ballet company anywhere in the world. � In January 2007, Ms. Anderson assumed her new role in Houston Ballet’s Education and Community Engagement program, where she conducts master classes at area schools, and lectures to students on dance and her historic career as one of America’s most distinguished African-American ballerinas. � In the spring of 2016, she became a permanent exhibit in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. � Lauren Anderson will bring her teaching excellence to Cleveland City Dance February 23-25, 2018. A dead white man is discovered, and the local police pick up a black stranger named Virgil Tibbs. The bigoted, white Chief of Police discovers that his prime suspect is in fact a homicide detective from California. As it happens, Tibbs becomes the racially tense community's single hope in solving a brutal murder that is turning up no witnesses, no motives, and no clues.
