Synopsis:Follow London cab driver John Smith, with two wives, two lives and a very precise schedule for juggling them both, with one wife at home in Streatham and another at home in Wimbledon. Trouble brews when Smith is mugged and ends up in hospital, where both of his addresses surface, causing both the Streatham and Wimbledon police to investigate. Having upset his schedule, Smith becomes hopelessly entangled in his attempts to explain himself to his wives and two suspicious police officers, with help from his lazy layabout neighbour upstairs in Wimbledon.

The Buzzard Cove Screampark is looking for Haunt Actors for this Halloween Season! We will be holding an open audition on Saturday, 9/1 from Noon - 3pm in the open lot next to the Buzzard Cove mini golf and driving range located @ 1053 Bellus Rd Hinckley, Oh 44233. Signs will be posted indicating where to go. The Haunt will operate Thursdays through Sundays, 9/27-10/28. Thursdays and Sundays from 7pm -10pm Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm - Midnight. Questions, please email: buzzardcovescreampark(a)gmail.com About the main Haunt we are looking for performers for...the theme is, well … Hell. Visitors will walk into a series of rooms that set the stage for a descent into the basement, where things get pretty bleak. A cult has taken over the Barn and released the forces of evil. In one room, you will find a fortuneteller, and the outlook is not good. Another room is full of mannequins dressed in all black conjuring demons. There’s a creepy doll room where all the occupants have no eyes. And in the barn’s basement is where true evil resides - one room has animal carcasses hanging from the ceiling and at the end the walls are covered in human skin (actually gallon after gallon of latex) and body parts.

Fall auditions are here and are you prepared? Dr. Christopher Hutton, Baritone, is taking new voice students and excited to get you physically and mentally prepared for auditions and performances. Dr. Hutton has a Masters Degree and Doctorate of Music Arts degrees in Vocal Pedagogy (Science of Singing) from Arizona State University, and is fluent in teaching both belting/music theatre technique and classical technique. Christopher attended Youngstown State University where he received his Bachelors in Voice Performance. He has also performed opera at regional opera houses for over thirteen years. I trained with Sandy Meisner for two years, taught the Meisner Method for seven years in Los Angeles, and am currently teaching at OPA on Wednesday nights.I did hundreds of plays, commercials, pilots, television and film in Los Angeles as well. I'm in Hudson, and there aren't a lot of acting classes out here, so I'm also teaching a teen and adult Meisner class here in my home studio. There is one spot left. I was bowled over by the changes to this wonderful book and film. Instead of an almost slap-stick story about a mother and daughter exchanging minds and coming to grips with the change of bodies; the new musical instead takes on something more important; body shaming and the trials and tribulations of being a high school student. I found the story down-right profound and the music wonderful. AND PERHAPS MOST IMPORTANTLY, no longer is this a book and movie about a homogeneous family and the school they attend but rather it is about the real world and it features a cast of TRUE DIVERSITY. Based on the beloved 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers features a book by Bridget Carpenter - the co-executive producer and writer on the beloved TV hits, "Friday Night Lights" and "Parenthood" - and music and lyrics by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey - the Pulitzer Prize-winning composers of *Next to Normal* and *If/Then*. *The MUSIC DIRECTOR:* The MUSIC DIRECTOR will be responsible for collaborating with the director, conducting auditions, assisting in casting the show, teaching the music to the actors, hiring, rehearsing and conducting the orchestra and perhaps playing all performances *The Plot:* “When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. *Freaky Friday*, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. Review of Playwright Local's "Down by Contact"

X’s and O’s don’t add up in Playwright Local’s ‘Down by Contact’ Bob Abelman Cleveland Jewish News, The News Herald, The Morning Journal Member, American Theatre Critics Association Les Hunter, a member of the Playwrights Gym at Dobama Theatre and board member of the new-play incubator Playwrights Local, is part of an active group of artists creating and staging new works in Greater Cleveland. His latest play, “Down by Contact” – a drama about the disabling effects of the degenerative brain trauma that has now been linked to football-related concussions – is getting its world premiere production. The play is certainly topical. Ever since groundbreaking neurologist Bennet Omalu published his research on the subject in 2006 – whose findings were initially and intensely denied by the NFL – athletes the likes of legendary Pittsburgh Steelers center “Iron Mike” Webster, Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowl running back Larry Johnson, and San Diego Chargers Hall of Fame linebacker Junior Seau have been diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Sports have long been a powerful metaphor for life, with Sarah DeLappe’s 2017 Pulitzer Prize finalist “The Wolves” – a coming-of-age drama about nine female high schoolers in an indoor soccer league – serving as a most recent example on the stage.
