Hudson Players Announces Auditions for Noises Off Written by Michael Frayn A fan-favorite British farce! Directed by Brad Kisner Audition Dates: Sept. 9 & 11, 2019 - 7:00 p.m. Barlow Community Center 41 S. Oviatt St. Hudson, Ohio 44236 Performance Dates: Nov. 1, 2, 8, 9, 10*, 15 & 16, 2019 (8:00 p.m. curtain/*2 p.m. matinee) The auditions will involve reading from the script. ALL ROLES AVAILABLE. Hudson Players does not pre-cast. They say the show must go on. But in this rip-roaring, hilarious comedy about putting on a play, it seems at first that "Nothing On" will never make it to curtain call. Often called "the funniest farce ever written," this ensemble play is a cunningly constructed comedy classic. The crazed director still holds out hope that the show will be a great success, but he has a lot working against him. The male lead can't remember his lines, the female lead has barely read the play, sardines are flying everywhere, and there is too much drama backstage to save any for in front of the curtain. As the motley group takes the show on the road, things go from bad to worse, for the show as well as the personal lives of the cast and crew. But in the end, they just might pull it off. Watching this show slowly deteriorate is sure to keep you laughing the whole time. BELINDA BLAIR - Cheerful and sensible, a reliable actress. Plays "Flavia," Philip Brent's wife, who is dependable, though not one for household duties. North Coast Men's Chorus - Auditions for Holiday Concert - Sunday, Sept. 8

THE NORTH COAST MEN'S CHORUS ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR HOLIDAY PACKAGES, THEIR HOLIDAY CONCERT, ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 AT 6:00 AT THE MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS COMMUNITY UCC, 7165 BIG CREEK PKWY, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS. We know you are out there! You're the guy singing in your car as you drive around town (maybe even complete with choreography!) You've been to our concerts and you've wondered what it would be like to be up on the stage singing with the North Coast Men's Chorus. So to you, we extend this invitation to come join us. We are holding auditions on Sunday, September 8 at 6:00! Please come and plan on staying for the entire rehearsal. Our next concert is our holiday concert that will be presented on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15 at the Maltz Performing Arts Center. Now, don't let the word "audition" scare you. It's really easy. You'll meet with Rich Cole, Artistic Director, and he will have you sing some scales, match some pitches and determine what section of the chorus your voice is best suited for. It is a pretty painless process and you'll be on your way to performing on-stage with the Chorus! NCMC holds regular rehearsals every Sunday evening from 7:00 pm-9:30 pm, with rehearsals starting a little earlier when we get closer to the concert date. Singers are expected to arrive by 6:45 pm to greet their friends and settle in so rehearsal can begin on time. We usually hold an off-site rehearsal on a Saturday afternoon close to the concert. Additional rehearsals are required of the dancers, but they all say that the extra time is more fun than work. There are dues to belong to NCMC, but no one is turned away for inability to pay dues. We have scholarship money that can assist with this. Rehearsals are held at our rehearsal space at the Middleburg Heights Community UCC, 7165 Big Creek Pkwy, Middleburg Heights. Auditions are not required for anyone wishing to participate as part of the ensemble. WHERE: Avon Lake High School Choir Room WHAT TO PREPARE: 16-32 bars of a musical theatre piece and a 30-second story. Bring sheet music in your key and an accompanist will be provided.
