Don't let the name fool you; this cabaret is not your typical jazz cabaret. The theatre will be transformed into a 20s jazz age theater with cabaret style seating. But you'll be shot through the decades with song choices from your favorite musicals. The cast will entertain you while you enjoy light hors d'oeuvres. Stranded by a violent storm, their holiday soon turns deadly as scandalous secrets are revealed, and one-by-one they begin to die. As a children's nursery rhyme counts down the murders, it's up to the guests to discover the killer before none are left. CAST REQUIREMENTS 11 Roles - 8 M, 3 F Must be 18 years or older Anthony James Marston - a handsome but amoral and irresponsible young man, who killed two young children while driving recklessly, for which he feels no remorse and accepts no personal responsibility. (M, 20s) Mrs Rogers- the cook/housekeeper and Thomas Rogers' wife, a pale and ghost-like woman who walks in mortal fear. (F, 40s+) General John Gordon MacArthur - a retired World War I war hero, who sent his late wife's lover (a younger officer, Arthur Richmond) to his death by assigning him to a mission where it was practically guaranteed he would not survive. (M, 50s+) Rogers - the butler and Ethel Rogers' husband. He dominates his weak-willed wife, and they killed their former employer by withholding her medicine, causing the woman to die from heart failure, thus inheriting the money she bequeathed them in her will. (M, 40s+) Emily Caroline Brent - an elderly, pious spinster who accepts the vacation on Soldier Island largely due to financial constraints. Years earlier, she had dismissed her teenage maid for becoming pregnant out of wedlock. Beatrice, who had already been rejected by her parents for the same reason, drowned herself, which Miss Brent considered an even worse sin. (F, 50s+) Dr Edward George Armstrong - a fussy doctor, responsible for the death of a patient after he operated on her while drunk many years earlier. (M, 40s+) William Henry Blore - a former police inspector and now a private investigator. Blore arrives under the alias "Davis" from South Africa, on the island for "security work." (M, Late 30s - 40s) Philip Lombard - a soldier of fortune. Lombard is accused of causing the deaths of a number of East African tribesmen, after stealing their food and abandoning them to their deaths. (M, 30s-40s) Vera Elizabeth Claythorne - a cool, efficient, resourceful young woman who is on leave from her position as a sports mistress at a third-rate girls' school. (F, 20s-30s) Justice Wargrave - a retired judge, known as a "hanging judge" for liberally awarding the death penalty in murder cases. (M, 50s+) Fred Narracott - the boatman who delivers the guests to the island. (M, 30s-50s) "And Then There Were None" is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company.

Set in 12th century Germany, Oblatus finds the great abbess, intellectual, and composer Hildegard of Bingen as she defies church leaders in a battle of wills from which she refuses to retreat. SISTER/TOWNSWOMAN/BOY/YOUNG HILDEGARD (female, 18-40, slight), nun of indeterminate age, older BOY who assists beer seller, non speaking roles as spectator and Hildegard as child/adolescent. CHRISTIAN, ARCHBISHOP OF MAINZ/BEER SELLER/SEXTON/PRELATE (male, 30+, robust), political/religious leaders, working class keeper of grounds at Rupertsberg and beer hauler. SEEKING ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER FOR WORKSHOP PRODUCTION JANUARY - FEBRUARY 2020 Playwrights Local <http://www.playwrightslocal.org/> seeks an assistant stage manager for a new play, Sanzaru, written by Greg A. Smith and directed by Erik Andrews. This workshop production will run for one weekend only, February 14 - 16, at Waterloo Arts in Cleveland. Hi! Houde School Of Acting is now offering an 8-Week Musical Theater course for kids and teens! What’s Included? - 1 Class Per Week - Will Learn Their Vocal Range, The Audition Process, Movement & Dance, And Theater Etiquette - Will Perform One Audition Song At Showcase For Parents At Conclusion We will start this course at the beginning of February, the exact date is TBA. Please contact back with any interest. This course is open to kids ages 6-16 and costs $200 for 8 classes and includes a showcase. It will be taught by Kat Kellie, please see more about Kat below. About Kat Kellie Kat joined The Houde School of Acting as a student in 2017 and joined the teaching staff in 2019. She began her teaching career in high school giving flute and music theory lessons to younger students, and moved on to teach music and theater across the country with various organizations including Kindermusik, Weathervane Playhouse, Children’s Stage Adventures, and now The Houde School of Acting. Kat studied Arts Administration and Music Performance at SUNY Fredonia, where she was also captain of Poetry in Motion Winterguard. After leaving college she toured with a children’s theater company before settling down in Cleveland, where she has had the incredible fortune of working on numerous wonderful theatrical and film projects.
